"²⁰My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, ²¹that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. ²²I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: ²³I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." -- John 17:20-23

There is a renewed hope in our Church. A hope of things to come. A hope that will change the world, a hope of being what Christ intended. The hope of being one body. We at One Body Ministries are dedicated to making this hope a reality. We believe this can be achieved by moving the focus from denominational dogma to Jesus, by shifting the focus from what Paul calls "disputable matters" in Romans 14, setting our differences aside and focusing on Jesus. We don't mean we need to do away with those preferences, just shift our focus to what, or who is important, Jesus...we could do so much good for the Kingdom!

We believe this comes by following Jesus' example. He tells us to love, "as I have loved you..." If we can do that, love like Jesus, accept like Jesus, our Church would be a force to be reckoned with. Imagine the souls that could be won when people see Christians acting like Christ! Imagine how powerful Christ's church could be if we were truly in one accord!

For a while now, the Lord has burdened our hearts with the need for unity among His people. It finally got to big a burden to bear. After a lot of time in prayer and pouring over His Word to seek His guidance on what to do, the foundation for One Body Ministries was laid. We are devoted to reaching out to Christians to build up and enourage each other, to act as one body with one purpose: reaching the lost. Our goal is replace the judgement and strife that is seen in the Church today with the Love of Christ. Love can cover any and all differences. If we can love each other and accept each other, inspite of our differences, than we can become what Christ prayed for us to become: One.
